OPEN CALL FOR DAILY READ SCRIPTS
DEADLINE: SUNDAY, APRIL 27, 2025 AT 11:59PM EST
The Daily Reads are back for another year and writers, we’d love to have your scripts a part of it!
RoxFilm is dedicated to showcasing and supporting filmmakers of color and these script reads are an opportunity for writers to have their scripts read by local actors, followed by a discussion amongst the writer, actors, and the audience. They occur every weekday during the festival from 12-1pm EST over Zoom (and are recorded).
Scripts should be a maximum of 30 minutes or 20-25 pages and have no more than 6 actors for each reading, including the narrator.
If the script calls for more than 6 actors, some of the characters may be double cast. If you have a shorter scene of about 10-15 mins, it may be able to be paired with another short scene and the discussion would happen after both scenes.

Submit your script with the button below or via email to roxfilmfest@gmail.com with the subject line “2025 Daily Script Read Submission” before the deadline of Sunday, April 27, 2025 at 11:59PM EST. Scripts will be reviewed on a rolling basis so get yours in soon!
