The Roxbury International Film Festival is the largest New England film festival dedicated to celebrating films by, for, and about people of color.
The 22nd Annual Roxbury International Film Festival, like those that have come before it, gives voice to diverse cultures, both local and worldwide. Now more than ever we need to hear these voices and champion these storytellers who are celebrating, challenging, educating, entertaining, and showing us that we matter, that our lives matter. We look forward to bringing to you, our first ever virtual festival. A festival that brings these stories in to the comfort of your own home. We want you to take this incredible journey with us, grab a drink from Urban Grape, and dinner from one of the PoC-owned local restaurants listed on our site. We believe that by supporting each other, we will all succeed together.
On September 30th we open our virtual doors to some of the most provocative, entertaining and fiercely independent films of the year. We hope you will join us as we open with art, poetry and activism with Christine Turner's Betye Saar: Taking Care of Business, Roberto Mighty's Charles Coe: Man of Letters And Yoruba Richen's The Sit-In: Harry Belafonte Hosts The Tonight Show. Thank you for your support, your dedication and your loyalty to ROXFILM, we truly appreciate you.
